Main location inventory vs online store inventory - Pickup Option

Hi! 

 

So we have two locations set up within Square. One is our physical store and one is our online store. We are trying to set up a pickup option for our online store, using our online store inventory. However, Square is making us set up pickup for our physical store, in order for our customers to actually see "Pickup" as an option when adding to their cart.

 

I didn't think this would be a big deal BUT once pickup is set for our physical store, they're adding that inventory to the online store inventory... So if we don't pull that item from the shelf at physical store before it's sold online, that could cause issues of us selling out before we pull it? Is that confusing enough?? Haha. 

 

Has anyone had experience with this?

Welcome back to the Community. 

 

Do you have your Square Sync turned on in your Online Store? Square Sync allows you inventory to remain the same between your physical store and Online store. 

 

You can turn it off, but there might be some disconnect whenever you makes changes to your items & inventory. 

 

Also, you can add low stock or out of stock indicators on your Online Store to help with your inventory management. Go to Online > Settings > Item Settings.
