Loyalty: What do transferred stars refer to?

While revewing a customers loyalty account to see if (turns out why) they weren't getting stars with each purchase. I saw several instances where the record of loyalty transactions said stars and been transferred. Can someone explain what that referrs to? Is this somthing the loyalty customer has done or is the because of merged accounts or is there a different cause?

Great question, @Athem; you're on the mark in regards to merged accounts.

 

If a customer was previously receiving their rewards via email and enters their phone number with the new loyalty screen, we'll merge their existing loyalty stars when we recognize the payment card. This will show as transferred in the transaction history.
