Hello, if an item is available in multiple locations, and each location has its own bank account setup- how does square decide which bank account to deposit money from such an item's sale?
What I a really trying to achieve is this:
We are a church and during their annual festival, the church will sell items from different organizations (men's club, women's guild etc.). Each organization is set up in square as a separate location with its own bank account.
A single transaction might include items from different locations. Is it possible to create setup that would automatically associate items within the same transaction with locations, split the transaction amount and deposit them into their respected bank accounts?
Thank you.
Hello, @virap1 - Welcome to our Seller Community! 🥳
Square determines where the money goes based on the location you are logged in at the time of the transaction. As mentioned here by @isabelle "You can create multiple, unrelated Square accounts, each with its own bank account. You can then log in and out of each account on your mobile device, depending on where you’d like your payments transferred. This option keeps each Square account completely independent of the other, so you’ll need to manage each account separately".
Square cannot associate items within the same transaction or split the transaction amounts to automatically deposit them into their respected bank accounts. This is a feature request that's not available at this time.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
