I allow customers to tip with credit cards, but when I run reports to calculate the tips, they're only on the hour, and some of my shifts start &/or end on the half hour. For example, one shift is 3:30pm to 6:30pm, but I can only see tips for 3:00 to 6:00 or 4:00 to 7:00, so it's impossible to be accurate when calculating tips.
We pool our tips, because I run an ice cream shop with 30+ part-time employees, so it's cost prohibitive to subscribe to Employee Managament for $5/month per employee just to keep the tip calculations separated!
That's a really good question, @GeorgeX. I made a trip through all the reports that are available, and I don't see a way to specifiy reporting by the half-hour, but I can totally see why you'd need that functionality. Every box that lets you set a time range only allows for input of full hours. Maybe one of the Square reps can address this further.

I can confirm that @GlassJudy is correct. Right now, we only report on full hour increments.
