Our recording studio usually receives a lot of booking requests and sometimes for the same time slot; our engineers like to choose which customers they want to work with and reject the other requests. Right now if customer A requests a session, that specific time slot is not available anymore for customer B.
Would it be possibile to close the time slot only when the engineer confirms an appointment?

I'm not sure of your appointment settings, Nor have I tested this, but you could try the following.
Navigate to Appointments > Online Booking > Settings and Under Online Booking Preferences toggle Business must accept or decline all appointment requests.
Furthermore if you scroll down to Online Scheduling, and make sure that "Daily Appointment Limit" is not toggled on.
See if that works, and if not report back and we'll see what else we can do!
