If I rename and item can I delete the old one and how do I stop my staff from creating new items?

There are a lot of typos in my items, if I rename them can my staff still search/use the old one? How can I stop them from altering names/categories in Square?

HI, if you rename an item, it will not be searchable under the old typo name.  It sounds like you need to look into Team Management and Permissions.
