I will be changing bank accounts, what is the best way to do this

I've had a Square account for a few years now.. works great.. I am in the process of taking payments for an EVENT on December 8th.. once this is past, I'd like to change my account information to a new bank.  I have the new bank account opened but do not want to interrupt taking payments for my December event.

When I decided to "UPDATE" the banking information to the new bank.. I am guessing I cannot take payments through my Square account?  Correct?  

I'm trying to find out if there's a better way to do this?  In other words can the old account be active until the NEW account is verified by Square?  

Or do I just need to do the switch and wait the week it may take to verify with Square?  The idea of taking in payments until new account is verified feels kind of odd.  Please advise?

you will be able to continue taking payments the whole time.  there could be a period where the deposits are going into the old account until the new account is verified.
