I want to export just a portion of my customers. How do I do that?

I want to export a list of my customers, but just the ones I've added in the last month.  Is it possible to do this, and if so, how?  Thank you.

Hey @rebecheka!

 

Thanks for posting in our Seller Community.

 

This is definitely something you can do. You'll have to create a group of the customers you want to export first. To do so:

 

  1. Visit Customers in your online Square Dashboard.
  2. Select Filter by Last Visited: 1 Month.
  3. Select Save Filters, name the group whatever you'd like. 
  4. Then click Import / Export > Export Customers.
  5. Select the group(s) you’d like to export customers from. In your case, this would be the newly created group. If a customer exists in multiple groups, they will only be exported once.
  6. Click Download.

A .CSV file will download to your computer, which you can open using Excel or another common spreadsheet software.

Thank you for your help @isabelle .  I thought that would work too, but when I select customers that have visited in the last month, it comes up blank.  If I am just sending them an invoice and they are paying it, are they not "visiting" my Square?  That is how I get most of my customers.  Thanks again!

Hey @rebecheka-

 

Hmmm. Invoices count as payments, therefore they should be included in visits. 

 

Have you taken a lot of payments in the last month? Perhaps try filtering to view the last two months of Last Visited. 

 

Let me know if you're able to view a complete list of recently visited customers.

Well, this time that worked.  I'm not sure what I was doing wrong before, but thank you for the help!  At least it is working now.
