: I issued a refund twice in the same amount to a customer. Only one refund was necessary. I didn't see the confirmation page with the "receipt sent" notification so I issued the same refund again. that time I saw the notification and was confident the refund issued. I noticed in my bank account that an amount double what the refund should have been was deducted. As I looked at the transaction today it clearly shows two refunds happening two minutes apart. Is there any way to recoup the second refund with out tracking down the customer and charging their card again! That would be really tacky but I cant afford to give money away! Thanks for the help!
Only way to fix this is to rering the sale.
I had the same issue! I thought I charged the card twice because the receipt page didn't appear, so I issued a refund. I know for certain that I only requested one refund, but it shows up twice in my transactions and now I basically gave away my product for free.
Did anyone figure out why it shows up twice or how to recoup your money
