How ro change owner's name

Hello:

 

Knowing that isn't possible to change the owner's name.I tried to create a new account under my name as a owner of the business but unfortunately it won't allow me to use my email which is the same email is on my account at the moment (the owner's name that appears on the account is my ex-sister in law and I don;t want her name in there anymore)

 

Can you help me with this issue, Please.

As your email address is used to log into your Square account, it's not possible to have two different accounts under the same email, so if you want to go that way (making a new business), you will need to establish it using a different email.  However, you can change the business name.  There are two different places you'll need to change the name:

  1. From your computer Dashboard, navigate > Settings & Account > Account > Personal Information.  Here you can change the business name at the top of the screen.  Note that on the next line you can also change the email address that you use to log in.
  2. Navigate from the Dashboard > Account & Settings > Business > Locations.  Click on the location you want to change if there's more than one.  The screen that comes up will let you change the business name (I'm not sure why there's a business name here and per #1 above.)  You can also change your business's nickname on the line under the business name field.

I don't know for sure if there are additional places to change, but I don't think so.  Changing the name in both places per above should accomplish what you want to do.
