How do you view your online sales in Sales Summary?

Whether you sell online with Square through one of our ecommerce partners or through a direct integration, you know that using one processor across channels can simplify running your business. One key advantage is the ability to see all your sales in one place, to compare channel performance.

Here’s how to see your online transactions in the Square Dashboard. Note: you will only be able to see online transactions this way if you have a connected ecommerce integration (e.g. you are taking payments with Square on your Weebly site, or you are using the Ecommerce API to power the payment form on a custom site).

To filter eCommerce transactions in your Sales Report:

1. Click the Reports tab in the Sales → Sales Summary section of your online Square Dashboard.

2. Click on Advanced Options and select “Source” from the options popup:

3. Click on the All Sources filter dropdown and select “eCommerce Integrations”:

The All Sources filter dropdown lists available sources based on the selected transaction data. If the transaction results are empty, the dropdown will be empty. If the transaction results only include Point of Sale transactions, the dropdown will only list “Point of Sale”.

To filter eCommerce transactions in your Transaction History:

1. Click the Transactions tab in the Sales  → Sales Summary section of your online Square Dashboard.

2. Select “eCommerce Integrations” from the All Payment Methods dropdown.

This is a great feature, however I don't have it.   I just sent an email to support to see if they can figure it out.  I have two accounts with Square for two seperate businesses.   One account has this feature, of course it is the one I don't have an online store with, and the other one does not.   It is not a browser issue.    If anyone else is having this issue I will let you know what I find out.

UPDATE:  So if you read the original post it refers to "ecommerce partners or through a direct integration", this does not apply to the Square Online store.  My other account we are using JotForms so that is why it is showing up.  The Square online store sales are directly represented in your sales totals.  To see what sales come from your Square online store you have to go to the online store order page, set the date range and export the orders an then total them up.  A pain I know but currently, that's the way it works.

Now, you can see your online sale in the sales reports if, and it's a big If, you use employee management and all of your employees use the 4 digit code to access the pos.  If you are using employee management like I am then you will see that the online sales are listed as "untracked employee".  So by filtering your reports to this employee, you will be able to see your online sales without going through the steps above.

Hope that clears things up.

Thanks @RHatch - I'll also let you know if I can find anything out about why that might be happening. 🧐
