How can I load a gift card to donate without it appearing as a sale in register?

You can ring up the gift card as normal and then apply a 100% discount on the sale.  the card will be loaded and you won't have a $50 sale (or whatever amount) in your register.  but it has to be loaded on a transaction thru your Square POS.

I actually created a DONATION discount and add the organization in the notes.  That way I know it was for a donation and who they went to.
