From the app, you'll want to find > Settings from the menu and then you can find > Offline Mode from there to switch it off.

How do I turn off the offline mode on square register? I am using the square for restaurant app.

I had this go on all day Sunday when every I did a purchase it would jump from my Hot Spot to Off-line payment Why is this I never had it happened before and this was all day??Help

Hi! Thanks for reaching out! Offline mode is enabled as a default to allow you to accept credit card payments if your internet or hotspot goes down. For steps on how to disable this, I've merged your post to an existing thread. This means that if your wifi goes out you will not be able to accept credit card payments until it is reestablished.

So I have read your response to "HOW DO I DISABLE OFFLINE MODE in Square Register"? " I don't see WHERE you link to an existing thread with the answer of HOW TO DISABLE offline mode on the square REGISTER app. I have a brick and mortar store with square register and if my internet goes down, I want all sales to STOP. I need to turn this function off. (I already have it disabled in the FREE white mobile square app). I need to know how to disable the square DEFAULT setting that I do NOT want.

Hello @tanyamp - Please follow these steps to enable and disable offline mode. Offline mode will be disabled when the "Allow Offline Mode" button is grayed out and not in blue.
Enable Offline Mode
- From the Square app, tap the three horizontal lines in the upper right corner to navigate to the menu or the down arrow at the top of the Square Register.
- Tap Settings > Checkout > Offline Mode.
- Toggle Allow Offline Mode to on.
- Review the information and then tap Allow Offline Mode.

There is no DOWN arrow in square register? I have read all the info you sent, I researched and looked all through the app. If I go into the REG FREE White square app, its easy, but I do not see any way to do it in the GREEN Register App from square that I use in my store.
