How do i delete an item my item list?

Go to your items list and click on the item that you want deleted.  You'll get the item information screen, and in the top-right hand corner is a 'Delete' button.  Click on that and you'll be asked to confirm that you want to delete it (along with a warning that the deletion can't be undone.)  Click to confirm and the item is deleted.

The Dashboard has changed a little bit!

There should be 3 dots to the right and if you click there- there's the option to > Edit.

That'll bring you to the item's page and from there there's > Actions at the very top and you can choose from there to delete the item.

I clicked on the 3 dots next to the item name.  There is NO option to edit.  Just "View page settings" and "Make this my home page".   On the item page I don't see any "Actions" at the tope of the page.  Help!

I just checked the Dashboard for my demo account - I'm able to see the edit option under Actions. 

What browser are you using? Are you on a computer? Can you send a screenshot of what you see?

Looks like the screenshot you sent over is in the variations of a particular it, but no worries - you're close!

Go ahead and back out to the item details, go to the top right corner where it says "Actions", and a drop down menu with delete will show. It will look something like the screenshot below.

Good idea for deleting an item.

But what I want to delete is the variation of the item, and that menu is not available in that screen.

Other suggestions?

Ah I see! Whenever you want to delete the variations under the item, you will still go under Edit for that particular item, and scroll down to the variations section.

You will see 3 horizontal dots to the far right of the variation - click on that and you will see an option to delete. 

Let me know if you don't see that option.

I have no delete button for an item on my list

The suggestions on deleting items is not working on my pages.   There is NO delete button at the top, right hand side of page.   NO delete button appears when I click on the item needed to be deleted.    I'm pretty fluent in computer things and I cannot find a way to do this.

Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Something must be wrong with the "Actions" button currently. I am having this same issue. When I follow the steps nothing pulls down from the Actions button, even though it has a downward arrow making it appear as though there should be a drop down menu.

I just tried from my demo account, but I'm not having any issues. I'm able to see the delete option from the Actions drop down menu. 

Can you try from a computer using the latest version of Google Chrome?

These suggestions do not work! There is no Action button or Delete button anywhere on my screen when I'm viewing an item I want to delete. Also, the 3 dots next to the item name, in the left-hand menu, only say "View Page Settings" and "Make this my homepage". I'm using Google Chrome on my Mac laptop.

I'm having the exact same issues as you're describing here!! NO delete options...how did you ever resolve this? Is it a defect in the Square program or is it b/b I'm using a Chromebook?

Sorry to hear about the trouble here! Can you let us know where you're trying to edit your items from? Are you in your Item Library in your Square Dashboard, or in the point of sale app? I'll keep an eye out for your reply.

Thank you, I was on my I pad and when I opened square with Google Chrome it worked and showed me a delete button at the top right.
