How do I add a photo to an item?

In your POS or Dashboard you can select your item under the item library snd click on the tile to choose a color button or add a photo from you computer or photo library on your Ipad.

FYI, That same image will be used as the online store image.

My biz is mostly a popup type, but I do want to add an online store later. Is there a way to add a photo for variants, so that each color variant can be seen, or do I need to make different colored shirts their own item?

Unfortunately not with the standard POS. Only one primary image is available.

Maybe someone with Square for Retail can chime in about additional images since that seems like feature it would have.

My advice would be to create an image with the item and then create a small row along the bottom showing the different fabric colors as options.
