How I do I create an item that CANNOT have a discount applied?

Hi, we have a few items that for various reasons we do not allow coupons, discounts etc...Is there a way (I have yet to find one) to set up an item so that a coupon or discount cannot be applied to that item? Perhaps a category?

There is no current way to specifically limit an item from having a discount applied. You can ADD a discount on a marketing coupon when you send it out, or you can restrict it by making discounts need a manager code to be applied to a sale using Team Permissions. 

There are definitely a few ways around it this as a limitation and we're happy to pass this to the product team as a Feature Request.
