Has anyone ever refunded a sale?

Has anyone ever refunded a sale?  I'm on hold for a square rep, but it is taking a while!  Is this a transaction that can be done myself in my dashboard somehow?  Kinda confusing though, because my transactions do not record customer names or credit card numbers!  How do I know I'm refunding the right person?

I have a few times and also did partial refunds. Theres a option on the app where you tale payments. Did you ever get a rep?

If you know the date and last 4 digits if the card and or the transaction I’d you can search for the transaction in the app or dashboard. In either place you can process a refund.
