Has anyone been able to find a way to see who purchased e-gift online and who the recipient is for the e-gift ? When I look on square up in my transactions it only give me the last 4 digits of the card used to purchase but no other customer info .
That's all your going to find unless they are customers of yours and you have entered their info from a previous sale, and they used the same card.
Is there any way you can fix this? My customers buy them regularly in bulk for themselves and as gifts but I have no idea how many they have left because there isn't a record by name ecspecially around the holidays. I can have 4 or so packages bought and have no idea who bought them so when they come in to redeem them I have no idea who gave it to them as a gift and how many that original client has left. This is extremely frustrating. It would be nice to be able to see how many gift certificates my clients buy by their last name at least so I can redeem them properly.
Also, another thing that would be nice is if you had a contractor option and not just an employee option.
@rardiff When a Square eGift card is purchased online it will automatically be added as a card on file on the recipient's customer profile. This means you should be able to see if someone has an eGift card on file from the Customers section of the app or from your Customer Directory online.
But it sounds like you're using a specific report - are you? Or do you manage packages/gift cards from the app? If you have a preference I can share your feedback with the Gift Card team!
Wow, we are now 4 years on since this original question and still this has not been resolved?!
When we sell an E-Gift Card to someone we dont capture their Customer details (not enough time). And anyway they might be buying the EGC for someone else as a gift.
It's frustrating when someone comes to the counter and they dont have their EGC code and dont remember their last 4 digits that we cant look them up on the Square Terminal using the purchasers email address. In fact you cant look them up at all on the Square Terminal - you have to log into the Square Dashboard on the browser (a separate PC/Mac which we dont have at the counter) and even then you cant search by email address.
This is a massive issue 4 years on ..... PLEASE FIX IT SQUARE.
