Giveaway in stock adjustment

Is there a way to adjust the stock of an item if we use it as a giveaway prize?  Also, what if we want to add 1 item from stock to create a basket of many items. What would I use as the stock reason? I’m new to retail pro so any help is appreciated.

Customizing/adding stock actions for giveaways and package bundling isn't doable with Square's Inventory tool at this time. I merged your post to a relevant thread where the need for this feature is being tracked. We'll update you all when we have good news to announce.

@JustinC  where is the other thread? I need to reconcile my inventory with a few products I have given away as promo items. I don't see a way how to have a $0.00 invoice / transaction. What's the best way to show this on my books to my CPA?

Apologies. This thread has a few workarounds for selling free items while tracking inventory.
