Greetings! I run a taproom where we pool all of the tips and split them up when new bartenders clock in or are cut. This has been running smoothly and has not been an issue using the pay in/pay out feature. What I would like to figure out is if there is a way that employees can claim their tips for tax purposes at the end of their shift when they clock out.
Is there a setting you can turn on that allows them to type in a note, or an actual screen that lets them declare tips to be taxed? We are using a third party payroll company right now, but using square to record the time cards.
