Does Square send us the sales tax they collect or do they send to the state of sales

I have small sales at local art fairs and Square is collecting sales tax. Without me balancing my deposits to my sales does Square send me the tax collected or do they send to the State treasurer?

@PBphoto Square doesn't keep the sales tax money you collect.  It is included in your deposits to your bank account as part of the "Total Collected".  The only thing square deducts are the fees they charge (2.6% + .10) per swipe or the higher rate when it is manually inputted or no card is present.

You as the business owner are responsible for filing a state sales tax return.

Hope this helps
