Do Square Terminal barcode scanners work with HP laptops?

I am needing to start Square inventory and would like to use the barcode scanner on my HP laptop or do I need to purchase an iPad or Apple laptop?

Unfortunately the scanners wouldn't work on a laptop with our Dashboard online so you would need to go the iPad route for this. 

You would want to make sure you get a wireless/bluetooth scanner since the USB ones would require a Square Point of Sale system to plug into.

If you are asking about the Square Terminal, the new little credit card terminal/point of sale. Yes, a USB scanner that is compatible with Square will also work on your laptop. If that's what you are asking. If you are referring to the Virtual Terminal on the dashboard, i don't think a scanner will work there or at least not in the way you'd want it to like it does on the square stand, register or terminal.
