Customer needs to sign up for Square to purchase with Square Online Store?

I just added product today and someone wants to purchase something (yay) but are being advised they need an account and there is no place to sign up for one from the checkout page?

Your customer's won't need an account to check out on your Online Store. If any of your customers have purchased from other Square Online Stores, they may have created an account and can use that login but it's not required! 

Your customer's check out page should look like this:
