As a residential electrician I provide services, not products. I am entering in a bunch of different services that I provide along with a detailed description of each service and my standard base price for the service.
But now I’m trying to make an estimate to test it out, and I’m seeing that I can’t change the price. Is that correct?
I know that I can leave the price blank when setting up the item, then it will allow me to add whatever price I want when making the estimate. But I like to have a price there as a general guideline. I also like the ability to change the price depending on the customers’s exact situation.
So am I just missing how to do it, or is there no way to change the price on an item in an estimate?

Hey @Electrician 👋
If you are referring to modifying an existing item's price then that can only be done under the Item Library and not during an Invoice or estimate creation.
As a possible work around you could create Item Variations with a variable price that way you can keep your base prices and also have the option to enter the price when creating the Estimates.
I hope this information helps!

+1 to this.
I provide undercoating services and have different packages based on vehicle type as well as returns. I have my base price set to my minimum amount, and the variable so I can adjust accordingly on package and vehicle size.

OK, so looks like this could be done, I would just have to set it up through item variation? Good to know, I’m going to play with that when I get back to a computer. Thanks!
