Change "Attend" button text

I am selling tickets for a charity golf tournament.

On my online store, I have Checkout Mode set to Buy Now.

Below the Quantity selection, the buttons shown are:

• Attend
• Apple Pay 
• Google Pay

But that doesn't make sense! 

It should say:

• Pay by Credit Card
• Apple Pay 
• Google Pay

How can I fix this or get Square to fix this?

Hi there @bryan6 - and welcome to Square!

I should be able to help clarify what you're seeing here. When a visitor is on your website, and looking at an event item like this one, the Attend button functions as an Add to Cart button.

Because you have Buy Now mode enabled, the Attend button will take visitors straight to the Checkout screen, rather than first adding the event item to the cart. The Attend button is not listed alongside payment options. Rather, it is next to the quantity button so that visitors can select their quantity, then click Attend to proceed to the Checkout screen to enter their payment information. 

The quick pay option(s) you're referring to will be shown after a line break, as shown in the screenshot below. These quick pay options will not take your visitors to the Square Checkout screen, like pressing Attend will. I hope this helps, but let me know if you still have questions!

Hi, 

I was wondering if there is a way to change the text from 'Attend' to either Reserve or Buy now. I've tried using the customize check out button option to change the text but this does not make the changes.

I'm having the same issue. I can change button text in a regular section (that's not necessarily selling items) but I can't change the text on, say, featured events. It says "Get Tickets" but I'd rather it say "Learn More" or "Register Now!"

Appreciate you reaching out about editing buttons on your Online Store. The type of edits you're looking for would be a Feature Request at the moment. 

I am happy to get this over to our Product Team to increase the ability for our sellers to have more customization within their Online Stores. 

Once there is an update available one of our Community Moderators will create a Product Update to post within the Community.

Thank you for highlighting this feature request @Tess-goggle. While we don't have an update on this feature request, you can create a checkout button, which can be customised - so the button could say "Attend" for example. When your customer goes through the checkout process and enters their card details, "Buy" will still be shown. Let me know if this answers your question - as there's been a few different requests in this thread!
