Can no longer complete sale with 100% discount

I have a Square Terminal with a cash drawer attached, and I recently updated the terminal to use the new POS experience in my settings.

I have a "100% off" discount I use occasionally when I want to give something away or want to grab something myself, since I use inventory tracking on all my items. Since upgrading, this no longer works. When the 100% discount is applied, the "Charge" button at the bottom of the Review Sale pop-up changes to "Open Drawer." Pressing it opens the drawer, and nothing else--no sale is registered, no inventory is adjusted, even the items entered into the sale remain when I return to the Review Sale section.

Is this a bug? Is there a different way this should be handled now? I know there are comp/void options, but my old system seemed like a much simpler solution.

Hmmm.  Let me test that out on Square Register and see what behavior exists there.

I can report that everything functioned normally on a Square Register when I rang something up and used the 100% discount.  Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance!
