I am trying to repilcate the features of teh Square Stand (Hard wire coonnections to Printer, Scanner and Chip Reader) to an Android tablet. I can not use Ipad because of a spcific appication I use with my Squareup so I have to use an Android tablet. Can I buy a 4 port USB hub with Micro USB connection on the uplink side and connect these devices to my tablet? Can I, may be buy the Square STand Accessories ket to use with my Tablet (since the end connetions looks like a Micro USB connection)
Thank you

Hi CHad..
I found a soultion to my problem after many many USB powered hubs and adpaters, here is what worked amd semi-worked.
1st Solution I brrowed a freinds Square stand power adpater (set) and bought a Micro usb cable Male connector on Both ends and tried it and it worked on both the receipt printer and Barcoad scanner and I can chanrge the Chip reader as well on the 3rd USB connector and the cash drawer is connected to the printer which open is after transaction BUT the only thing missing here is the Tablet is will NOT CHARGE as it connects so I will have to do is disconnect the Hub connection and connect a power cable so the tablet is charged overnight.
2nd solution, I bought a j5Create AOA/OTG 2 port adapter and tried that and this wored as above (only 2 USB ports) but I can charge the Chip reader externaly and the BEST part is I can charge the tablet while using the system with the connection. The trick on this is the Tablet have to be connected first before connection any other devices and since I have no plan on unplugging it this should not be a probelm. It may not look as kool and slick as the Square stand but this works for what I wanted to do and cost me less money to do it. Thanks for the help

Hey @Woubee, welcome to the Seller Community! 🎉
This is a great question. Offically, the Android version of Square Point of Sale is not compatible with USB 3rd party hardware. The Square Stand's USB hub connects into a port in the bottom of the stand. This port will only work with the Square Stand. I agree that having USB accessories are easier to setup, so I will make sure to pass this feedback along to our product team.
If you have any other questions regarding 3rd party hardware, please let me know! 😃

Hey @Woubee, this is the first time I have heard of someone trying this! I'm glad to hear that you were able to find a work around that works for you.
In the future I will point other sellers to this post. Thank you for taking the time to share your success with this. 👍

I have been having a hard time with this same issue. I'll try this out. Any chance you could tell me which Android tablet and barcode scanner you are using? One thing the Honeywell tech support team was considering is if my tablet is the reason my barcode scanner won't connect. It's a little on the small side.

Good to know, thanks! Just to add some specificity for the future, the J5 Create AOA/OTG USB hub is absolutely the way to go. I attached mine to an LG Gpad 7.0 and a Honeywell 1250 G barcodes scanner.

Hey @EJ_
The j5create is working well so far except for a few disconnects with the printer once in a while but still not charging the device at the same time.

I purchased the JUH660 ANDROID AOA / OTG HUB.
• In the OTG (on the go) mode it will run the Symbol LS2208 barcode scanner. But will not charge the tablet.
• In AOA (android open accessory) mode it charge the tablet. But it does not recognize the scanner.
Has anybody had sucess in making it do both in one mode? If so, please explain and let us know which equipment you are running.
Is there a scannaer that works in AOA (android open accessory) mode? Or an adapter that will charge in OTG mode?
Or would it be possible to tell the computer the scanner is a keyboard and run it in AOA mode?
