The title of this post has been edited from the original: Can I link two different bank accounts to Square?
I have a square reader for the PTSA. I would like to take payments for a club and have the funds go into a different account. How can I do that?
Hey @Gayle3-
Welcome to the Seller Community! 🌸
Currently, a Square account can be linked to one bank account at a time. However, you have a couple of options:
If your business has multiple locations, you can manage all of your locations under a single master account. This allows you to link a different bank account to each individual location.
Or you can create multiple, unrelated Square accounts, each with its own bank account. You can then log in and out of each account on your mobile device, depending on where you’d like your payments transferred. This option keeps each Square account completely independent of the other, so you’ll need to manage each account separately.
I hope these suggestions are helpful. If I hear anything about being able to link more than one bank account to a location, I will definitely follow up in this thread. Thanks for your time! ✨

However, you can create two separate Square accounts with it's own bank account, or you can create an additional location under your master account, which allows for linking a different bank for each location.
Let me know if you need any clarification on this or with creating accounts and locations.
im trying to do the same thing. its very confusing and there is no instruction on how to switch from one to the other. i have 2 businesses (i am an independent stylist) and i also sell lipsense there but want the lipsense purchases to go into a different account than my salon biz. i made a dif location and such but its very confusing on how to switch back and forth upon purchasing.. my clients will be paying for hair services and lipsense purchases seperately but at the same appointment time.please advise. im also confused as to which bank account im linking and verifying in the confirm email.
Hi @dinadivine - thanks for making your first post to the 👥 community.
To switch between locations, you will need to sign out from the Point of Sale app and sign back in, this will allow you to select the location you are looking to make a transaction through.
I hope this helps, let us know if you need anything else.
How do I create another square acct? With a different bank acct number?
Hey @watchuniverse! You have two options:
You can create a new location from your online Square Dashboard and link a different bank account to that location. When you have two or more locations, when you sign in to the app using your email address you'll select the location at which you're taking payments.
Or, you can create a completely separate Square account using a different email address, and then link a different bank account to that new Square account. To accept payments with this new Square account you'd sign in to the app using that other email address.
Hope this helps!
I can see a problem with this multiple login from the same App on my phone. Currently, the only account I have logins in with the convenience of fingerprint sign in. The only way one could accomplish access to two separate accounts would be to disable (not select) fingerprint login so that one would be prompted for login information when starting the App. Is my thinking here correct? I am looking at doing exaclty this for my second business.
How would i do that?
Hi @Torie24! Welcome to the Community.
You'd have to make another location in > Account & Settings on the online dashboard. You can only have one bank account per location so you'll have to create another in order to link a 2nd bank account.
Hello,
New to Square and found this thread. I can't seem to be able to add a new bank account to a new location. It only lets choose the existing bank account.
Is there a new/alternate way withOUT me having to login/out of my account ?
Thanks in advance.
Hey there @trucare8 -
Welcome back to the Community!
Whenever you are logging into your account, are you using the app or Dashboard? If you're using the App, then you would need to click the secondary location whenever you are logging in.
If you're using the Dashboard, you will need to go to the location to the bank information to select enter the new one.
Let me know if this doesn't do the trick!
Please clarify. I have four accounts under the umbrella of one business
Hi @nabba,
If you've created four locations in your Square account, you'd be able to link four different bank accounts, too. Head to Account & Settings > Business > Locations. From there, select a location to view which bank account is linked to it. If you'd like to add a new bank account, you can do so from Account & Settings > Account > Bank Account.
Please let us know how you go!
This reply was created from merging an existing thread: “is it possible to have more then 1 bank account linked at a time?.. if so how?.. im not seeing it.”
im trying to link more then 1 bank at a time to my account but im not see how or if it is possible.. any help would be appreciated.. thanks in advance.
The only way you can do this is if you have more than one location. Then you can set the account for each location. Otherwise all funds can only be deposited into one account.
sorry i just realized i had this response.. oh so long ago!..lol but thanks for the reply and it worked!
This reply was created from merging an existing thread: When I edit my bank account, will the old bank account still show up?
I want to ADD a bank account. I want to keep the current banking information in my Square dashboard, but I want another account in there as well. So... when I go to "EDIT" bank account... will it REMOVE all the old bank account information or will it be stored? I want to be able to easily switch back and forth between two different bank accounts so I can have money deposited into 2 different bank accounts. Like.. have deposits go into account A one week, then switch to account B the next week.
But I don't want to have to keep inputting the routing number and account number.
Anyone have experience with this? Will the current bank info disappear? Or will is all still be there?
@Grilled There isn't a way to unlink and relink a bank account to your account in the way you're describing!
I've added your post to this thread where you can read how to connect two separate bank accounts to two Square locations, for one business. I hope this helps.

I have 3 independent stylists. If they each log into the one Appointment Calendar they can direct credit card payments to their own bank account?
Yes, this type of configuration will work with Multi-Location Management, as it allows linking a different bank to each location. Set up your locations with their own booking site and assign a stylist to each one.
From the POS app on their device, each stylist should sign into their respective locations so sales funnel through the appropriate bank account.
