Can I create a modifier that allows cashier to type in details at the time of sale?

We are a coffee shop and I would like to set up a modifier that allows the cashier to type in specifics at the time of sale.  Such as "Flavor" they could then type choc, almond, etc.  Otherwise I am coincerned by the time I add all of the modifiers for coffee i.e. hot, cold, cream, skims, etc. the list will become cumbersome

I don't believe it is possible to add modifiers live at sale time.

But I think it is much easier for a cashier to go down the list clicking the modifiers hot, double shot, vanilla, low fat than typing all that every single time.  Just think when you go to Starbucks or McDonalds the cashiers are simply picking from a list of things to add or subtract, not typing no lettuce etc.  I agree there will be a lot of choices but having cashiers with different abbreviations and typing skills could cause communication issues.

you can apply multiple modifier sets to an item, I'm not sure if that will help with a line break between different options.

 Thanks for a quick reply. I decided this was probably just as easy as having them type in at the register and I have started creating modifiers.

I would like to print a report seeing my amount I have done paid outs. Would even take a weekly report but would prefer monthly report. Looking to get an annual dollar amount of my paid outs.
