Can I change the shipping instructions? If so, HOW?

New problem, and clearly it's 'my fault' for not planning a week or two in advance, but, I can sometimes be a 'last minute' business owner, and had to send out a Mother's day email with a link to my Square store.  Sadly, my following question will not be answered before I must send the email 😞  

Little did I know... the 'Shipping Instructions' are pre-set to: Shipping "Free. Ships within 7 business days to United States addresses only"

I would LOVE to change those instructions!!! I've gone to the 'edit site/store'.. whatever.. and can't find any way to change those 'Shipping Instructions'.    It USED to be so easy to edit shipping instructions... now... is there even a way?  If there is.. how?

P.S. btw... who was put in charge of making these changes, can I suggest a 'client study group' BEFORE your company EVER does anything like this again?

Very sorry to hear that these changes have caused such a headache! Hopefully this response gets to you in time. Yes, you can definitely edit shipping instructions. To do so, follow these steps:

 

  1. Log into https://squareup.com/dashboard 
  2. Click Online Store from the left menu
  3. Click Store Settings
  4. The second option on the left is your Shipping Settings. Use the drop down menus to adjust the shipping cost, and ship within date

Right now, customers can place an order through your online store using an international credit card, but the order itself must be placed from within the USA, and shipped to a US address, so there's not an option to change the address field.

I followed your instructions and like the person before me, I am unable to pull up edit shipping. There is NO drop down box. This is causing major problems for me. I need help ASAP. Why were things changed? It only made matters worse.

@kepeoples1953 - I should be able to help with this! If you navigate to the Online Store section of your Dashboard, under "Settings" you'll see this: 

Shipping_Instructions.jpg

Under "Shipping Settings," you can change your shipping cost. The message sent to your customer will reflect what is selected here. Unlink the customized message you can create for pick up orders, it is a bit more limited for shipping orders.
