Feature Request: Add QR codes or barcodes to Square Gift and eGift Cards

Maybe I'm missing something here, but the eGift card and plastic Gift card system seems a little antiquated. Most eGift cards come with QR or barcodes so they can be quickly scanned at a checkout. We run quick service coffee shops and staff having to enter a long random code is inefficient when we have people lined up to get coffee to go. Is there a plan to change this? OUr old system we use bar and QR scanners for quick payment.

While this isn't currently an option, I definitely see how this would be useful. This would be considered a feature request at this time, so we'll be sure to update this thread if something changes in the future. If you haven't checked out our Beta Community yet, you can join and potentially access new features first when we test them out.
