Share your business logo! ๐Ÿคฉ

Happy Friday!

I took a moment to spruce things up and I pinned our welcome post, intention statement, and digital directory to the group landing page. Was feeling a bit nostalgic and found logos created by members of our internal Squeers community group from years pastโ€”attached them to the posts:

Speaking of logos, Iโ€™d love for yโ€™all share your logos, as well as the story on how you landed on them. ๐Ÿคฉ

I had an older logo which had ivy in it, which the Ivy was from a tattoo of mine.

(taken from the actual drawing of my tattoo)

So this logo I wanted to update it and I used my Cherry Blossoms tattoo. I tried

one of those websites where you hired a stranger to re-design one for you, and I hated it.

I finally had my friend, that did my last one, do this one for me.

(I just didn't want to bother him with a re-design) I love it.

The Cherry Blossoms are actually taken from the original drawing of my tattoo.

I chose the cherry blossoms because everyone always comments on that tattoo,

seems to be everyone's favorite!

I started my business as an artist on the craft show circuit (traveling tent included LOL), and I sold handmade stained glass decor, Tiffany-style lamps, and jewelry. When I moved into a brick&mortar storefront and added other merchandise, I carried over the same logo. The house image was designed to emphasize home decor with a stained glass theme. And the name/typography was created because I wanted to balance a professional feel with something friendly and homey (cozy). A lot of people think the "Homestyle" refers to a restaurant (because of homestyle served dinners) but I think that just helps convey the friendly, family vibe we like to share in the store.

(Pssst, "hey remember that old chain restaurant called Beefsteak Charlie's?"...we've heard that too LOL.)

Love it @HC_Charlie! I totally see the tent, get the Tiffany-style lamp/stained glass vibes, and enjoy the contrast of the structured text with the playful signature. ๐Ÿ’›

I don't think I ever made it to a Beefsteak Charlie's but it sounds like it's been helpful for word of mouth! ๐Ÿฝ

It's my most recent rendition of a logo I had designed for me upon referral when I made the switch to self employment back in 2012. It used to say "Hair Guy Lancer" but my coach who coaches hairstylists, didn't know that it meant that my name was Lancer and that it meant that yanno, I might be YOUR hair guy, and my name is Lancer. The hair guy thing came to me from a former client who told me that I was his "hair guy" and that yanno, he has a plant guy, a car guy, etc.

Good call-out, @hgl_PLLC โ€” I get it. When it comes to getting hair cut, everyone I know has their person that they trust and develop a longstanding relationship with. I enjoy the bold colors and symmetry, and that it's in the shape of a square! ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ”ฒ๐Ÿ’ˆ

โ€ƒHi Tom and all. After 11 years in my side hustle linens business, I quit messing around & got serious about making it my mainstay.  So I'm in the process of rebranding from being sporadic to stratospheric.

Thus my logo had be light, colorful and magical.

Over the past few years I became known as The Sheets Guy and the former Rainbow Linens Express and logo weren't living up to the new image and popularity.

So it really came about from how customers and others perceived and appreciated my evolving self. Additionally my quality products, personal integrity, helping and putting others first became a bit of an icon, over shadowing my personal name.

Most today can fondly tell you of The Sheets Guy, but can't remember his name lol.

I'm new to this group and will postva personal introduction very soon. For now I have just an hour and a half to setup my vendor stand at community event.

Have an awesome day. I will ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ™ƒ

Welcome @NormFlowers! Sorry for my late reply here โ€” appreciate you sharing your story about how your customers help inform your brand. I'm certainly getting a sense of levity and magic from your logo. ๐Ÿคฉ๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿฆ„

Thank you Tom. Here is a description and history of the design. I should ad that I didnโ€™t even know about it when I decided to combine them. My original design was 3 circles side by side and then I merged them into the current design. Found out 5 years later from a guy I was massaging who had the symbol tattooed on his back. Wild! Lol

The World Triad is a symbol that has universal significance. It can be found all over the world, across different cultures, throughout history. The Triad or the concept of threeness has been treated as sacred since ancient times. It is seen as the unity of the body, the mind, and the spirit, and is believed to symbolize physical growth, mental development, and spiritual awakening.

Originally, the World Triad was an oriental symbol, but the western Gnostics adopted it as an emblem denoting the three-fold nature of fate and reality. It represents cosmic creativity and stands for the cycles of time that keep spiraling endlessly.

The circular symbol of the World Triad is representative of the continuing movement of the Earth. It can even be understood as a reflection of the inter-dependence and inter-connectedness of all existence. Meditation on the World Triad symbol is believed to promote harmony, creativity, and self-confidence.

Like the Chinese Yin Yang, the World Triad also symbolizes the eternity of the forces at play in the cosmos, with harmonious balance existing between the conflicting forces. In Tibet and Bhutan, the World Triad symbol is considered the sign of Trimurti and referred to as the Cosmic Mandala. The Japanese know of it as the Mitsu-tomoe or Magatama, which is representative of the human spirit.

That's amazing @MBSHC! It was meant to be!๐Ÿคฏ Thank you for sharing the World Triad symbol history โ€” I learned something new today and now I'm realizing how many instances in my life involve the rule of three.

It was meant to be a collective of holistic practitioners but it never fully came to fruition. Therapists just seem to be flakey all the time and I didnโ€™t want my company tarnished with that kind of reputation. I do refer to people that align with my values, and Iโ€™m considering creating a revamped LGBTQI directory. If that makes sense.

Some of my best clients and some of my not best clients are therapists. Either they vibe with you or they don't. IME, it helps if they also are good at respecting boundaries. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป
