Share your business logo! ๐Ÿคฉ

Happy Friday!

I took a moment to spruce things up and I pinned our welcome post, intention statement, and digital directory to the group landing page. Was feeling a bit nostalgic and found logos created by members of our internal Squeers community group from years pastโ€”attached them to the posts:

Speaking of logos, Iโ€™d love for yโ€™all share your logos, as well as the story on how you landed on them. ๐Ÿคฉ

For those familiar with cupping therapy, we sell custom beautifully designed hand-blown cups here in San Jose, CA. We ship all over the US. Our cups can be used as candle holders as well and are fully functional cupping therapy cups as well.

A Move To Remember is a queer-owned company, with an emphasis on providing moving support services to Queer / Trans / Non-Binary community members and to non-traditional household familial structures; we serve underserved communities within Housing Programs and offer emergency move services for survivors of domestic violence, and unfair evictions.

The New York Times has a great article on the psychology of moving, and it says it perfectly: housing and moving are filled with symbolism, the hope for new beginnings, crushing disappointments, loss, anxiety, and fear.

Weโ€™re working to R.E.S.C.U.E. folks from the stress of their moves, regardless of where theyโ€™re at in life, and who they are - because we understand the disparities in the moving industry that minority communities can face.

We do this through a focus on Respect, Empathy, Safety, Care, Understanding, and Engagement.

I took inspiration on the naming of my company from LORAC (which is the founders name but backwards) and wanted something simplistic, functional and versatile for my logo. The SC can be used on garments and the logo as a whole can be used for business-y applications. However, I am still trying to find my niche product but for now I am offering tie dyes with colors matching the current season.

โ€ƒMy business used to be called The Dog Lady but now I have other dog trainers and assistants working for me, so it made sense to change the name. There is a social justice component to the business so I wanted a logo that showed we welcome everyone.

Our neighborhood has an iconic clock tower that was built 50 years ago as the neighborhood was being revitalized.  Inside the clock tower is a carillon with mechanical figures depicting the story of the Pied Piper of Hamelin, that do their thing every few hours.  We settled on the name โ€œPiperโ€™sโ€ in honor of that.  Our logo designer took that information and ran!  You can see the clock tower as a background image, of course, something that is instantly recognizable to any local.  Of course, the incorporation of the Piper and especially of the little rat atop the โ€œPโ€ are our favorite parts!
