hi im getting very confused with the security on my websites

I own 3 domains with 123 reg

but i host them on weebly - i've been forwarding them on 123 reg for a while but now they won't load at all on chrome and will load on safari but with not secure notifications

does anyone know what to do? ive tried weebly help and 123 reg ...but still no joy

ssl is enabled on the weebly site editor for all of them

What did 123 reg have to say as normally they are pretty helpful?

I'm just looking at the three sites in chrome, all three load, just the Banbury one is showing as insecure connection. You may have some setting modifications propagating through the servers. Can take up to 48hrs to complete.

Have you verified domain ownership? Head over to Google tag manager and follow the instructions. I think this may sort this out for you.

Thanks for your help here @doc_choc !

@hei, I was able to load the website www.heidifardell.com successfully on my end.

According to lookup.icann.org/en, your domains soundshistorical.com and banburyearlymusicfestival.com are hosted by 123 Reg.

There are a few reasons why you might get a "site not secured" error message:

1. Your Weebly website is on a free plan

Hosting your site on a custom domain is a paid feature and require a paid plan. If you'd like to successfully connect a custom domain, you will have to upgrade:

  • Log in to your Overview page
  • Click on Upgrade on the top right
  • Select your preferred plan and follow the prompts

2. The DNS A records are not pointing to the correct address

If you’re unfamiliar with domain name records, I recommend asking your domain registrar or host to do this for you. If you're not sure what to ask, feel free to use the email template that we've written in this Support article.

We don't have access to your account  details on the Community, so feel free to contact the Weebly support team directly. Someone will be able to look into this for you.
