The option of redeeming an E Gift Card is missing from the checkout screen. Only Manual Entry or Card on File are available.
Manual Entry requires an Expiration Date and CV code; this information is not included in the email the customer received. There is no information when searching under the name of both the giver and receiver.
Instructions on the square website are out of date.

Hey @Chiot. I just checked my account on Square POS and nothing has changed. So I’m wondering if your payment types configuration has been messed up somehow.
Assuming you are using the standard Square POS (not Restaurants or Retail), go to Move > Settings > Payment. In the list of Main payment types, do you not see “Gift Card?” If you don’t, you should be able to drag it there from More Payment Types or Disabled Payment Types.
Hopefully that’s all that is wrong. Let me know if that doesn’t lead you to a fix, though.

Thanks for the step by step in getting "Gift Cards" restored to my payment screen. Its probably been like it was since a migrated to the new Square Stand shortly after my season started in late spring! Such a relief to have "Gift Card" restored to the payments screen and to now more easily know how to find the current value of a card.
