When we split a bill square crashes and then has to restart. Has anyone experienced this problem and knows of a fix.
we have tried shutting done square or restarting our ipad with no luck.
the issue is really becoming tiresome.
looking forward to some advice

This definitely doesn't sound like intended behaviour - have you tried reaching out to our customer support team for further help with this one? They'll be better placed to take a further look into the issue, as well as file a bug report if needed.
