paying for shippo shipping labels

Crazy question, but...

I have recently added the Shippo service option and created a few labels today. I thought the charge would come out of my Square balance, but it has not. Where are these charges going to? Where can I find how I am paying for these and make sure it's how I want to pay?

Hi @avenuegallery.  Almost all third-party apps that integrate with Square bill you separately.  We have to set up our billing/payment information directly with them.  Shippo has a 30-day free trial which you are probably using right now, I’m assuming since you said you recently added it.  You need to go to your account there and see how they handle billing and/or payment.  Most likely, they will send you an email before your 30 days is up telling you how to do this if you want to continue with their services beyond the free trial period.

 

Also, I don’t know of any third-party apps that use Square Balances as a payment option.  However, if you have a Square Checking debit card, you could use that as your payment method.

I finally did see a bill, and it was about $15.95, I guess as a monthly subscription fee, which was added on top of my labels. So, with that in mind, I see very few reasons to use Shippo when I can just get my labels for the price of the label only.
