Yesterday I added a number of new items and many of them are not showing up on my website.

Yesterday I added a number of new items and many of them are not showing up on my website.This has happened before and I thought Square got the problem resolved. Well, it's back. Any suggestions on how to force Square to get all items to show up on my website? Thanks.

Solution

OK, don't know if this is a great solution, but it is at least a "work around" answer. In Square Dashboard under "items", I went to each item that wasn't showing on my website. I changed "visible" to "hidden", and clicked "save". Then I went into the item again, and changed hidden to visible. Magically, the items appeared on my website. I don't know why the items didn't show to begin with since they were "visible". Go figure!

This sounds like it was definitely a syncing issue and doing that made the items sync again correctly. Please let me know if this happens again. I've also listed some steps to try below. 

 

If Basic Troubleshooting Doesn't Work:
  1. Clear Cache Method:

    • Log out of your Square Dashboard
    • Clear your browser cache
    • Log back in
    • Check if items appear
  2. Item Duplication Test:

    • Create a duplicate of one missing item
    • Sometimes this triggers the system to recognize both items
  3. Browser Test:

    • Try viewing your site in a different browser
    • Use an incognito/private window to check if it's a cache issue

Hello @DaveP37379 thanks for your post. Did you Publish after you added your items? After any website changes, be sure to click the publish to update the website. you can also close/refresh your browser, try a different browser, or clear cookies to force an update to refresh on your viewer end.

 

If there are particular items you'd like to have checked, drop your website and item and someone in the community can do a quick search for you and see if we can see them on our end. Sorry you're having issues with this, hopefully it will resolve soon.

Yes, I did those things. When I post items some will show on my website and some won't. Makes no difference if I click "publish" or refresh my web site. I can exit all software, reboot my computer, and still not change. My new response below worked, though it is not an ideal solution.
