I am thinking about using square for a training class for basic handgun training and safety, also a licensing to carry permit certification. I am a certified instructor by the state and multiple organizations. There is no sale of firearms or anything of the nature, the only physical item that would be given are paper certificates (if the person qualifies under law); As per: 3. Restrictions, Number 10. This does not fit the definition of the terms of service, but another user had issues with square had similar issues and was audited.
My question would be, would I be able to use Square as means to do business as an instructor as mentioned above?
Hi @RMPTraining
So looking over both the TOS and that thread you posted, I really want to say that you would be fine and Okay to run your business as an instructor. But, like Bob mentioned in that one thread , Square can have a mind of their own at their discretion.
I think if it were me, I would call, and email square customer service to be sure before you spend your time and energy getting this set up.You are not dealing with the sale of anything related to a firearm, simply instructing people. Like yoga, but better!
