Website not updating when published

I changed the visibility of a category and it’s subcategory from hidden to visible and then published the website. The categories are showing on the website, but none of the items are showing up, I checked the items to ensure they were visible and not hidden and opened the website from multiple phones and computers. 

Has anyone else ran into this problem? I’ve done everything I can think of to fix this and I’m out of ideas.

@thesnarkylemon I have run into a category page not showing updated, but when I went into the item it was updated this morning.  There appears to be a longer than normal delay affecting things syncing from the item catalog to the website.  I haven't seen a bug report yet, but I have seen 3 or 4 threads of delays in item visibility update/changes posting timely to the site.

 

I always give it at least a minute or two as it posts in cycles.  I know it isn't always instant and to reduce web traffic and server load there is some sort of polling delay built in (i.e. it updates every minute or 2 or 3 etc.)
