The tip i've added to my sale disappears when i try to enter card details manually.

Hi community, I am a new user - trying to add a tip to my sale price. When i go back a screen to enter my card details manually, the tips disappears. Am i just supposed to add the tip to the overall sale amount manually/myself rather than use the tip I've set up?Thanks in advance for any tips/advice. Wendy

Thanks for getting in touch and sorry to hear you're having trouble getting tipping working!

So I can better assist, can you let me know if you're using the regular Square Point of Sale app, Square for Restaurants, Square Terminal or an Online Store? If you're using a mobile device, is it Apple or Android?

Thank you so much for replying, I do apologise for not getting back to you. I forgot about the post and the payee changed their mind on payment method so it didn't go through anyway.

I had to do another one last night and ran into the problem -but this time as the payment continued I saw that you actually get another chance to select the tip so it worked out.

I just have the square terminal.

I will ask another question if i may. Can the word 'tip' be edited/changed? We use it for a different fee purpose and it's confusing to then see the word on the receipts for customers.

Hey @Wendy-FF,

The wording for tips can't be edited at the moment, however we are looking in to building more functionality for this sort of purpose in the future - eg for surcharges and other service charges.

While I don't have an ETA on this feature's release, I will add your feedback to the team working on this!
