Tax applied to some customers not others

I offer classes at my studio. I keep having where some of the people are not charged tax but others are when registering for the same class.  Last class 3 weren't charged tax and 2 were.  They are all clicking the same link so I am really confused.  First thought was that they were using a Canadian (lot of snowbirds in this area) credit card or something but turns out they were from places like NJ and Wisconsin.  Any thoughts of how to fix this as this means I have to pay the taxes out of my pocket.

Hi @Harriet-WG ! - I see this is your first post in the Seller Community so I'd like to officially welcome you! 🎉👏

As far as taxes go, it looks like all the events currently on your Square Online website are generating sales taxes. I am unsure why the January 22nd event was not generating taxes for certain customers and since it has passed, I cannot troubleshoot it.

Should this happen again, I would recommend reaching out to our Support Team as soon as possible so they can take a deeper look and troubleshoot this, as this is important for your business that taxes are generating correctly.

If you'd like to speak with our Support Team by phone, you can give us a call at 855-700-6000 between 6 am-6 pm Pacific Time Monday-Friday.
