Tap pay android issues

I have been using square for 6 years on my phone , multiple android devices actually, and up until recently I have had no issues. All of a sudden my tap to pay feature immediately tells me when opening the app that it failed to connect. Last week I spent an hour and 20 minutes on the phone with support who could not help me and came back saying it was my apple pay was not initiated. I do not have an apple phone I told them exactly what device I had. 

 

I want to the troubleshooting section and did everything it said nothing worked. Support called back said they fixed it and it worked great for 3 days. Today it started happening again, I was finally able to figure out the developer mode switched it off, force stopped square and restarted my phone. It still is not fixed. I am a hairstylist whom 60% of my buisness is mobile so I need the tap to pay option or else I cannot track my mobile payments. Does anyone have any suggestions because customer support has no idea what they are doing or how to help unless you have an apple device?

HI @JILLYN 

 

What type of Android are you using?  Have you tried clearing cache in the Square app as well?  I know there was an issue a few months back with some PIxel Phones having some issues with TTP.

Yeah I would try to clear cache in the Square POS app you are using > Reboot.  If it's still not working Trying Clearing Data from the app > Reboot.   Just be sure each time also that developer options are still turned off. Let us know if that changes anything.
