Stock management with open tickets

Hello - I am having real difficulty with stock management at the moment. We are a restaurant that also offers ordering online for collection. Our in-person customers do not pay until after their meal and all orders are kept in an open ticket / tab. However - the stock does not decrease until after payment has been made. How can I change the settings to lower stock levels for items in open tickets?

Hi @tr7skatepark!

Thanks for resurfacing this post.

With inventory tracking enabled, stock is reserved for unpaid orders which allows you to view your current stock on hand, as well as the number of items you have available to sell.

You can learn more about committed stock and tracking your inventory, here. If you have any questions, just let me know.

Hi @Twiddy, thanks for your post and welcome to the Seller Community.

This feature isn’t currently available with Open Tickets, we understand how important this is and it has already been raised already as a feature request on this thread.

I'll be sure to share any updates I have on this in the future.

That’s an interesting point about stock management with open tickets. Keeping track of adjustments and updates can often get tricky without clear references. You might find this resource on HSR Warp Guidebook helpful as it dives into structured ways of tracking and organizing progress more effectively. Applying such methods could make handling open tickets smoother and more efficient.
