Hi there!

Does anyone else have trouble with their Square Register's card reader not working at the start of every morning? But subsequently works fine after 2 hours of opening?

Would love some help with this!

If your Square Register is not behaving as expected, you can try the following troubleshooting steps:

1. Make sure your device’s date and time are accurate in ≡ More > Settings > Hardware > General > Date and Time and adjust accordingly.
2. Make sure your device has the latest software in ≡ More > Settings > Hardware > General > About Square Register > Software Update.
3. Perform a factory reset ( make sure to review our support article here first).

If you're still having issues, you'll have to contact our Support Team directly as this might need to be escalated.
