So i'm trying to pair a Square Reader 8600 to my Samsung Tab S9, but the app is complaining that my device is not supported as rooted devices are not supported
There is however a small issue with that, this tablet has NOT been rooted, i have deliberately ordered this brand new in order to leave it untouched and 100% stock, yet the app is complaining that the device is rooted
I haven't even so much as unlocked the normal android developer menu or even enabled USB debugging, this tablet is as stock as it possibly can be so i'm very confused why your app and the reader thinks this tablet is rooted
Welcome to the community @Cypherous, and sorry to hear you’re having trouble pairing your new tablet.
I’ve taken a look at our device compatibility checker, and unfortunately the Galaxy Tab S9 is not currently listed as a compatible device.
While the Square Reader is compatible with most Android devices running Android 7 or higher, we can’t guarantee support with all Android devices at the moment. We are always working to support as many devices as possible, so there’s a chance it may be supported in the future, as I don’t see it included on the list of devices with known issues.

Ok and when are you going to support actual recent devices?
Your support checker doesn't even include the tab 8 yet so you're really kind of screwing yourselves out of customers as i now have to consider an alternative payment processor
You support more recent apple devices just fine and you support recent phones, seems like a massive oversight and a waste of customers time not gonna lie
