Re: Square Marketing Email

I'm new to square but trying to use as many tools as they have. I signed up for email marketing and conducted my first campaign. The pics (neither my uploaded images or their stock backgrounds) show up.

I noticed this in the test email but I let it rip thinking maybe they would show.

Here's what I'm getting. In Outlook just text and background color. Then if I hit view in browser I get this: (notice no images and it really looks worse in the browser)

So that's two strikes , then I logged into my webmail to check the email and I get text. However, also in webmail I get an attachment that is the actual test email with images.

Is this how this thing works? I tried chatting with support but they blamed my browser. It's 2021 stop blaming browers and get your stuff to work with them.

Any ideas on what button I'm not hitting to get my images to come with the text? Any 3rd parties you could recommend that work with square so I wouldn't have to reload my contact list every mailing?

Hello @dpeterson101 I'm sorry you're having trouble with Square Marketing emails. In looking at your "text" it includes code that refers to previewing your campaign. >>>>>

I wonder if this is a final campaign. Did you go through all of the steps and click on Send Now?

And it sounds like the little iphone mockup in your dashboard wasn't showing a preview of your campaign as you were working on it? If you are not seeing actual images as you intend in the preview, then I'd assume that the images won't show up when you send the campaign.

Do you have another device like an ipad or smart phone where you can check your email to see how this displays? That might be a way to troubleshoot if it's a browser issue or not.

Hi Charlie, Thanks for reaching out. Yes that was the preview email as seen in the "having trouble view in the browser" link.

It looks the same (no images just banner colors) regardless if I look at it on the phone, in outlook, or using webmail. The preview looks perfect till you send it.

I'll reach back out to support. I'm sure something is off.

Okay I'm answering my own question here just in case it happens to others. The issue was pics not showing in actual emails yet they were showing in the WYSIWYG phone sample you get before sending the email.

Solution: I deleted the header section (and did not put it back). Once I did that the WYSIWYG and the actual email images matched. No idea why but all is good.
