We have been having a problem where modifiers marked as "sold out" will still present for sale in our online store. Is there a time delay before the setting takes? Some of these modifiers have been set as "sold out" for several days and yet somehow orders are still popping in with them selected...
I am having the exact same problem. Have you been able to figure it out yet?
Hello @bagelboss @beth9,
Thanks for sharing your experience.
Can you provide your site and examples of some modifiers this happened on, so I can investigate further?
Thank you!
For mine, I haven’t gone live with online orders yet so unfortunately I can’t give you a url. But if you want to check behind the scenes, go for it. 🙂 Lulusicecreamsocial.com
Hey @bagelboss @beth9,
Can you check your sites now? We did have a disruption earlier with Square Online. I also escalated this over to the team, and they tweaked some things on their end. It should be working!
If this is still continuing, please let me know.

It happens frequently to the bagel options and has also happened to the spread and meat selections also.
@MayaP I have finally had time to go back and take another look at this, and I'm still having this problem. We have over 80 ice cream flavors, but only 20-25 available at any given time. I don't want my customers to have to scroll thru all 80 flavors to get to the one they want. I could customize the modifier on each item where it is attached, but that is basically all of them since people will always have to choose a flavor, and that will very quickly become overly cumbersome, so I'd prefer not to have to rely on that method.
Did they ever find a solution for this? I am having the same issue with some modifiers. I mark the modifiers as sold out through the square for restaurants app, then I go online and I am able to order the items with that modifier. I can also order it through the POS in person. In short, marking the modifier as "sold out" does nothing.
