Sharing tips for Tax calculation and Wix

The title of this thread has been edited by a Square Moderator from the original: "Tax and Wix"

Hey guys,

Saw an issue with certain square transaction not having tax applied. Was looking at this with an amaka rep who was helptful with everything else I needed, but he directed me that WIX needed to be set up correctly.

WIX charges tax for all my other items, and then we found square was charging GST on all my in-person payments (on odl square hardware, and more recently on our iphone). So I set off on a google research adventure, knowing there was a gap with WIX and Square, and more specifically, to 'Custom Amount' transactions in Square.

I ended up looking at my tax setting in Square, and in the 'Edit Tax' page, the tax application was set to 'Select Items' and in Items - 'Select All', but I have no items set up in Square (which is odd that it was still charging tax on in-person transactions, but it was doing that fine.

I have now changed this Tax Application to 'All current and futre taxable items at slected locations, and it now shows 'Apply tax to customer amounts' with a switch that was defaulted to on.

Hoping this has fixed it, and hoping this post helps anyone having tax issues with their WIX integration.
