Selling Vape products online

can anyone help and or advise please.  I run a small retail shop and have been using square terminal for processing card payments instore for over a year now (very happy with it to!) i would like to move from my current Epos provider to square and also into online selling of my vape products, i know square prohibits the sale of tobacco to in person sales only, my question is does this include vape's? if it does is there a way i can still use squares website to take orders and therefore still have live stock control with my retail till but not take payment by the checkout but the order goes into the held orders section so i can then collect payment by card on the terminal in person when i do the delivery and have checked I.D?  Thanks

Hi @Suesnews, welcome to the Seller Community 🙂

I'm glad to hear the Terminal has been working well for you.

With Square, Vapes can be sold in-person but not online so you wouldn't be able to take online orders for vapes.

I hope this clarifies for you but let me know if you have more questions!

Does that mean you can’t sell vapes to ship but they can they use the online site for a store pick up?  Or have an online site that didn’t take payment but have a call to action and do a telephone order and save in store?

So any form of fulfilment for online sales would be a term of service violation @Twiggy

Even if it's for pick up, the sale would be online so that not be permitted.

Manual card entry would depend, for example, if you put it through the Virtual Terminal, that's also considered online.

Yep so in the UK you are permitted to use Square to process transactions for tobacco or nicotine/vapes in-person with your customer’s card present. @Twiggy
